  • Tree Cutting

    We used Green Planet Trees to cut down two large Poplar trees with numerous offshoots. Rich provided an estimate and appeared to be very knowledgeable which was why we chose this company rather than two others we had quotes from. On the day the chaps did a sterling job. It was fascinating watching them cutting the trees down section by section (i.e. no 'timberrrr!' moment). I had considered cutting the trees down myself (i.e. with a 'timberrrrr!' moment). When I saw how the professionals do it, it was just as well I didn't do a DIY job. It would've been a disaster for us and our neighbours!

    We chose Rich Price because of the quality advice he offered when he came to quote. Instead of agreeing with everything we suggested, he offered recommendations based on his vastly greater knowledge. Due to his popularity, we had to wait a bit, but it was worth it. He and his colleague were polite, prompt, efficient, and extremely tidy in the garden – there was no sign they'd been afterwards. They were pleasant to talk with, friendly and helpful with their advice. They also accommodated some tricky access issues via our neighbours' garden and our need to minimise disturbance. I recommend them.

    Rich and his team arrived at the agreed time and quickly set about carrying out the work. Although I had initially only asked for the work to be done on two trees Rich had no problem when I asked if he could fell an additional tree. All the work was done to a high standard and I was very impressed with how well they cleared up afterwards.

    I highly recommend GPTS. Rich is knowledgeable in what he does and I was particularly impressed that he checked there were no birds nesting in my dense bay trees, before pruning them. The garden was left clean and tidy, with all debris taken away. I'll definitely be using GPTS in the future.

Green Planet Tree Services is a Bristol based tree surgery company.

We use environmentally friendly, bio-degradable chainsaw oils and the most modern and efficient, low-emission chainsaws. Our polite and friendly staff are fully qualified to NPTC standards, and all work is fully insured.

From pruning a small cherry tree to felling a creaky old oak - no job is too big or too small. We cover a large area from Swindon to South Wales and from Gloucester to Taunton. All sites are left clean and tidy, all waste is taken away and recycled. Large logs are split and seasoned for firewood. Smaller branches are chipped then used on allotments around Bristol, nothing is wasted!

Providing excellent service and starting long-term working relationships are our goals.
